Kevin McGill's Biography and about team72..

Why I am the person I am today.

I have a huge drive and passion to share what I believe it takes to have a high level of personal achievement regardless of one's background, upbringing or education. Growing up wasn't easy and there were many challenges that could have been excuses for failing at living a great life. I had many childhood years of unhappiness due to abuse, addiction, poverty, hunger and perhaps what some would call "a dysfunctional family".

No one and nothing would tear down my spirit.
These circumstances which are prevalent in our society today can be used as an excuse very easily for tearing down one's spirit.  But at a very young age I realized I had control over my own fear and the outcome of my life.  I have pushed way beyond those unfortunate circumstances that have made me the person I am today and have found the secret to a fabulous life that I am committed to sharing with others.

My brothers and I were raised single- handedly by my Mother.
My four brothers and I grew up in an impoverished neighborhood in Modesto, California. When I found I had a talent for playing football, it became my sole focus and a direct path out of a life of poverty.

I kept my eye on the goal.
I designed a plan for my future and every action I took from that day forward was devoted to making professional football my life.  I finished high school as an All-American football player and was recruited by Arizona State University.  After playing in the Rose Bowl I headed to the University of Wyoming to finish my Bachelor's degree in economics, where major injuries sidelined my football career.

I had a continuous philosophy for creating success.

Although professional football was no longer an option, the lessons I learned from playing and coaching were stepping stones for developing my philosophy of creating success. I finished my Master's degree in Psychology and moved into the world of management.  I continued to build on my success by faithfully taking and developing as many business training and development programs as one could handle.  I became an avid reader of about a book each week and practiced and polished my ideas on developing rapport.  With all that, one of the most powerful tools I learned was taking personal accountability for results.

My dream realized.
Team 72 has been a dream for 20 years and showing others how to succeed is a principle close to my heart.  The drive to push past all obstacles has never left me; in fact it only increases when I share the principles of Team 72 with others.  It is the sincere desire of my heart to have everyone I meet activate their potential, to take action on their dreams and turn them into reality.
